Come Pull Eat

I remember the first time I heard Conjoined Fetal Twins...They'd given me a tape of the first album they did together, and I put it in the player while driving home late at night. It was rough and raw, but I was struck by how much promise it showed...If these guys could pull together something that interesting in an afternoon of fucking around in the living room with minimal equipment, how far could they go?

We'll never know how far they could go, because their modus operandi continues to be fucking around in the living room with minimal equipment...and maybe that's for the best. Perhaps it's the primitive musical surroundings which cause their inspiration to flourish. Perhaps it's a divine confluence of skill and chance. I don't know.

Each time I play one of their discs I find myself inexorably drawn in. Whether the music comes from innate talent or just plain luck, I don't really care...they make music I like listening to. Over the course of their albums, the sounds can be bizarre, random, and even downright grating at times, but there are also moments of transcendent beauty. Their music is weird, fun, and unpredictable.

I hope you enjoy your visit to the wild, wacky world of CFT as much as I have.
